I've been told by Nikon that they do not yet have the software to support my transfer of images since I have a 64-bit operating system.
I have a Nikon D200 DSLR and cannot transfer them. It was suggest to me that I might get a card reader in order to perform this action or wait indefinately for their software.
What kind is the best? Will it degrade image quality?
Please help as I have over 14 gig of vacation photos...|||I would suggest that you get a card reader. My wifes Nikon uses a SD card. I use a card reader most of the time for all of the digital cameras my family has. It is often faster than connecting to the camera. I have not seen an issues with image quality. You get the same file that the camera used to save the picture regardless of how you transfer the images.
