What type of energy transfer is a ball rolling and then hitting piece of wood that when hit well then spin round and hit a bell?|||it is conservation of momentum.
If we go to some basic we may say its inertia of motion that is conserved.
p=mv
because p1=p2
m1v1=m2v2
That is momentum of both the balls and finally the bells are equal.
This can also be seen as transfer of energy....when the second ball hit the bell it transferd mechanical energy to sound!!|||While the ball is just rolling along, having a good old time, it is enjoying kinetic energy. When it hits that piece of wood and the wood begins to spin, this shows that a portion of the ball's kinetic energy is converted, by the elastic collision between the ball and wood. We know it was an elastic collision between the ball and piece of wood as the piece of wood absorbed enough energy from the collision to continue to spin and hit a bell.|||initially the ball has both translational kinetic and rotational kinetic energy when it hits the plank provided there is no friction(external force) then momentum is conserved so the intial energy is equal to the final energy the plank is having is pure rotational the when it hits the bell that enrgy is transferred to to the molecules and in turn converted to sound
